I found that in abundance in Martial Arts, I started to train almost everyday & still do so today. The training was hard & strict, as I thrived in this environment I became only the 4th ever person to become a Black belt in the club, then going on to become an Instructor in various styles to include Kickboxing as well as studying in the healing arts such as Reflexology, Rekki & Massage.
I came across Muay Thai around 2004, I was instantly hooked in the style known as the Art if Eight Limbs. I trained in classes all over as much as I could, after time I started take local classes. Then after a while I decided to take my first fight 'which I lost', over the next couple of years I had another few fights around 74-77kilos, the last at 74k was on my own show, the Friday before I opened the doors to M-Mag in May 2009, I got a bably broken arm in the second round , my Ulna just below my wrist was shattered & spilt in two' No one knew as I fought on to the end of the fight which I lost by one point. M-Mag opened on the Monday, By then I had my own group of raw fighters, guys who had trained with me for a while, either in my garage or at the side of my house.
M-Mag has grew from then when I was on my own till what it has become now, a full time gym with lots of Coahes & a solid Team around me.
I Love coaching & my passion is M-Mag, All my troubles are left behind when I walk through the front doors. There is no better feeling in seeing the progress from someone new starting & then watching them grow in to the person they want to become.
M-Mag is not just a gym, it's a Family x

I loved the dynamic kicking style of Tae Kwon Do but there was an issue (for me) with the lack of emphasis on hand techniques, and so I moved on to Korean Kick Boxing (a mix of western boxing and Tae Kwon Do kicking) and this in turn moved towards a more Dutch style of kick boxing (bringing in low kicks). This inevitably led towards Muay Thai, and in 2005 I started a new chapter. I’ve never stopped learning and I’ve tried most Martial Arts over the years – Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Savate, JuJitsu and wrestling to name a few, but Muay Thai is almost the perfect Martial Art as there are so many offensive and defensive aspects involved in mastering the science of 8 limbs.
I still train as actively as I can, but coaching is a massive part of my daily life. There is great enjoyment when you see people you’ve worked with developing physically and emotionally as they train. Some have progressed to fight on the biggest stages, at the highest level, but there is as much satisfaction from seeing people who have no desire to compete, committing to training and walking through the doors of the gym on a daily basis. It’s a lifestyle choice that I can confirm changes your life.
MMAG is a gym, but it is also a community and a family!

I had 10 fights in the UK before I moved to Thailand in 2016 where I was sponsored by Sumalee Boxing Gym. I fought in various stadiums, having a further 18 fights during my two year stint. After returning home, I quickly climbed the UK rankings to finally reach the #1 position in July 2019, which I have held ever since.
Out with fighting, I also coach the ladies class & occasionally the fundamentals classes, as well as taking 1-2-1 personal training sessions.

After a prolonged break from martial arts in my early twenties, I made the best decision to start training at M-Mag. My intention was purely to get some training in and better myself, but after some time I decided to start fighting again in 2018 and haven't looked back since. Fighting out of M-Mag I've had 7 fights to date, and completely changed my mentality and approach to training and fighting, which has only aided me in fighting my way upto the top level in the UK.
I also actively train Brazilian jiu jitsu, competing in over 25 competitive grappling matches with 17 wins, I have always enjoyed cross training martial arts, and one day hope to try my hand competing in mixed martial arts.
Out with fighting and training I also help take the Muay Thai beginners class, and assist with the Brazilian jiu jitsu classes, aswell as being a full time personal trainer at the gym.
